Zeus only half lives up to his mighty name. While he can be a big, strong boy, underneath that impressive frame is one of the gentlest, sweetest souls you’ll ever meet. He is incredibly people orientated and just loves being close to his humans. Whether it’s following you around the house, curling up beside you for a nap, or greeting you with his signature helicopter tail, Zeus is happiest when he’s with the people he loves.

One of his most endearing quirks is how he gently stands up and leans in for a cuddle around your shoulders. It’s his special way of showing affection and will definitely melt your heart. Because of this, we recommend a home with older, dog savvy kids or teens who understand his affectionate nature. He’s not rough or jumpy, just a big boy who loves love a little too much sometimes.

Zeus is also a social butterfly when it comes to other dogs. He would thrive with a friendly medium or large dog companion to hang out and play with. He can walk nicely past little dogs but can sometimes get a bit excited around them, not out of malice, just because he’s still learning how to interact with smaller friends. With the right guidance and continued gentle exposure, he’s improving beautifully.

Although Zeus enjoys being around other dogs, he would also be perfectly happy as an only dog as long as his family is home often and enjoys giving cuddles and company. He’s a big softie at heart and would love nothing more than to spend his days relaxing, being loved, and soaking up all the attention he can get.

Zeus is truly a special boy who just wants to be part of a loving family. With his affectionate nature, goofy charm and endless loyalty, he’ll make a wonderful lifelong companion.
