Don’t let the name fool you — Shorty is anything but short! He’s a big, handsome greyhound boy with a huge heart to match.

Shorty loves his toys and will happily run around tossing them in the air and entertaining himself. Because of this playful streak, we recommend a home with older, dog-savvy kids, just in case he mistakes a small child’s toy for one of his own.

He’s a super friendly and sweet boy who also enjoys his independent moments, making him a great fit for a full-time working family. Shorty would be perfectly content as an only dog, but he’d also love the company of a medium or large canine friend.

When meeting new dogs, he can get a little excited, especially around smaller breeds – not out of drive, but simply because they’re new and interesting to him. An understanding family willing to continue guiding and supporting him as he learns will help Shorty thrive in his new home.

Shorty would love to be a bit of a homebody, spending his days lounging around, playing with his toys, and enjoying the simple comforts of family life.
