Barry

Barry is a friendly, confident and playful boy who is always ready to get involved, especially when there’s a willing playmate nearby. He had a wonderful time with our assessor and was quick to show off his playful side with plenty of play bows and enthusiasm. He’s also a big fan of an ear scratch, so if you’re looking for a dog who appreciates a little affection, Barry is definitely taking applications.

Barry’s eyes lit up the second he spotted the stuffed toy, and before long he had officially claimed it as his own. He happily carried it around in his mouth, showed it off and, in an impressive display of generosity, would even give it back so you could throw it for him again. Fetch, retrieve, repeat — Barry is clearly committed to keeping his humans entertained. He may be a toy thief, but at least he’s a very cooperative one!

Barry would be best suited to a home with older children who can appreciate his playful personality and give him plenty of interaction. He’d be happy to share his home with another dog, but when it comes down to it, Barry is far more interested in his person. He’s looking for a forever family who wants a fun, affectionate companion with a playful streak, a love of toys and an undeniable talent for turning a simple stuffed toy into the main event.
