Adoption applications are now open for Blaze.

Blaze is a goofy, sweet young gentleman with a playful nature and a very special love for his toys — especially the fluffy ones. In fact, one of his favourite things is carrying his soft toys around with him as he explores, proudly checking everything out with a teddy in tow.

When Blaze first enters a new environment, he can be a little sensitive and unsure as he takes the time to settle in. But once he starts to feel safe and comfortable, his goofy and playful personality begins to shine. He shows his affection in the sweetest ways, including enthusiastic bum wiggles before zooming happily past his people in play.

Blaze would love a quieter household where someone is home more often, as he enjoys companionship and likes having his people nearby. He may also be able to live with another dog, provided they are calm and polite. Blaze is still learning about dog-to-dog interactions, and while he is usually happy to say hello, he tends to prefer doing his own thing rather than engaging in lots of play.

Toys are a big part of Blaze’s world, and he has all the makings of a delightful little toy hoarder. A home with a well-stocked toy box — especially one filled with fluffy teddies and soft toys — would be a dream come true for him.

Because Blaze can be unsure and sensitive at times, he would be best suited to a home with teenagers rather than younger children. He will thrive with a family who can give him the space, patience and understanding he needs while he settles in and gains confidence.

Blaze is a lovely boy with a soft heart, a playful spirit and so much potential to blossom in the right home. For a family willing to give him time and kindness, he will be a sweet, entertaining and deeply rewarding companion.
