Lofty

Lofty is a gentle boy who needs a little time and patience to show you just how special he really is. He can be quite wary of new people at first and will need his future family to let him build confidence at his own pace. Once he decides you’re one of his people, though, you’ll have a devoted little shadow following you around and soaking up all the love he has to give. He absolutely adores a good back massage, so finding someone with excellent massage skills may be the fastest way to Lofty’s heart!

Underneath that initial shyness is a playful boy who really comes alive when he feels comfortable. Toys may also be the key to winning him over, as he had a wonderful time playing with a stuffed toy and enjoying himself with our assessor dogs. He would happily share his home with another confident, friendly dog who can provide a little moral support and help show him that the world isn’t such a scary place.

Lofty would be best suited to a quieter home without young children, although sensible teenagers would be fine. Someone who is home more often than not would be ideal, giving this special boy the companionship, reassurance and consistency he needs to continue growing in confidence. Once Lofty lets you into his heart, you’ll discover that this wary little man has a whole lot of love waiting to be given — and you may just find yourself with a very loyal shadow for life.
