Pearl is living in foster care and ready for adoption.

Pearl is a very gentle, sweet and easy-going girl who has settled beautifully into her foster home. She is calm, polite and wonderfully affectionate, often choosing to stay close to her people and enjoy their company. While she can be a little cautious when meeting new faces, she warms up quickly and soon seeks out pats and attention from her new friends.

This lovely girl is a wonderful companion who enjoys her daily walks and walks beautifully on lead. Some days she’s happy to explore the neighbourhood, while other days she prefers a shorter stroll with time to stop, look around and take in the world at her own pace. She can be a little sensitive to loud noises but continues to grow in confidence each week.

Pearl has recently discovered the joy of toys and can sometimes be spotted tossing them into the air and entertaining herself! But one of her absolute favourite things is going for a car ride. She gets so excited that whenever her foster carer heads outside, Pearl makes a beeline for the car, checking the mirrors to see if it’s time for an adventure!

Pearl would suit an apartment, townhouse or house with a yard and could live with another calm dog of any size or as your only companion. She is comfortable being left home alone, making her suitable for part-time or casual workers, and may be cat friendly, although this hasn't been tested. A quieter home with teenagers or a retired person would suit her gentle nature perfectly.

Pearl's suitability

  • Great for apartment or townhouse living
  • Can live with small to large dogs
  • Suitable for teens
  • Part time working family
  • Loves companionship
  • Would love a quiet family home
  • Would love a fairly active family
  • Shows signs of being potentially cat friendly (untested)

Note from Pearl’s foster carer:

“I have had many dogs over my life and I can say that I am surprised how obedient and affectionate Pearl is, I have never come across this before.”
